Failure
Failure

its the best way to learn!

Two of my favorite LinkedIn reads, Meyling “Mey” Ly Ortiz and Olga V. Mack, posted today about failure, and how much we can learn from it. And I’ve seen a few law student/young lawyer comments about how exhausting it can be to read here about other people’s successes, making them feel like failures.

We all fail. We try not to, but sometimes we screw up, or we’re not ready, or happenstance works against us, or someone negligently or maliciously blocks our success. I’ve failed, many times. More than that, actually! But by examining and learning from our failures, we grow stronger, more adaptable, and more likely to succeed in challenging situations. So if you’re feeling like you’re not succeeding right now, examine it, learn from it, and realize that years from now you will look back and say, “that failure made me better.” And other people will look at your career and think you’ve always been successful. #lawfirms #nelc#diversityandinclusion
